St-Nom-de-Marie Parish's Church
Life according to the Spirit seminars
Every Friday morning after the mass, from April 15 to June 3.
St-Nom-de-Marie parish church has been built in 1904-1905 and then moved to its actual site because of the Paugan dam construction, completed in 1929. This construction project has resulted in the flooding of the lower part of the village.
Religious presence , however, dates back to 1840 , the year the first chapel was built.
The parish was then served by parish priests from Farrelton and Gracefield, and by the Maniwaki Oblates. In 1881 , Pierre Chatillon became the first abbot of the parish. The following year, the construction of the first church began.
